Alan: “I can remember *giggles*” … yes, I’ve done it. I really went to the cinema again. And now you will benefit from it by reading my review of Hangover 2. And as always I’ll try not to spoil you.

Fun
Did you laugh a lot while watching the first movie? If yes, you will also have fun watching the second one. I had some reservations before watching this movie. In my opinion the first movie was brilliant and I have to say that I could not imagine that there are enough sick ideas left to fill a second movie with fun. But let me tell you that there were definitely enough sick ideas left :) I had a lot of fun watching Hangover 2. Ok, it's not as good as the first one but I think it's just because the viewer now knows a little bit more about the quirks of the story and the characters. Nevertheless it's a very good comedy movie.
Story
The story is just the continuation of the first movie. Once again a wedding should take place. Once again there is a bachelor party. But this time everything happens in Thailand. The story is mainly about the same characters and mainly about the same topic but you will get more of this great jokes and funny situations. Once again, if you liked Hangover you will also like Hangover 2. As I should rate the story here I would like to give it a 4 but I have to reduce the rating by half of a point because the end of the movie is not that believable. Not bad though.
Cast/Acting
There's not so much to say about the cast. The main part of it consists of Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Ken Jeong and of course Mr. Rude-Man himself Zach Galifianakis. They are all perfect in their roles and made me laugh several times. I would say it's an awesome comedy cast and they all did a good job. Just to also add an actress here: There's Jamie Chung you probably know from the movie Sucker Punch. But she sadly has just a relatively short appearance.

Overall
And now there are no more categories I would like to add to my review. The cast and the story are working well together and make Hangover 2 a condign continuation of the first movie. In my opinion you should watch it or you might come into situations where you don't understand what people are talking about as there are some lines/quotes someone could use in his/her everyday jokes ;)

And finally a word of advice: Don’t drink too much and hands off from drugs. You never know what will happen during your blackout.

After I was not that excited of Red Riding Hood lately I had to go to the cinema once again to get a positive overall cinema balance for the weekend ;) To achieve this goal the movie of my choice was Thor.

Thor
Thrill
Beginning with a scene where a group of scientists is hunting a strange weather phenomenon by car the movie seemed to get thrilling. And of course I had not been disappointed. Compared to 'Red Riding Hood' this movie was quite fun to watch and to make it short: It does not have to be compared with any movie to be fun.
Special Effects/Stunts
Thumbs up for this category. Without telling you what this movie is all about you can imagine that this one needs a lot of special effects to be believable and thrilling. The animation staff created a lot of nice places and action sequences. I think it must be fun for them to watch the result of their work. For me it was indeed.
Story
It's the story of gods brought in connection with the story of humanity. In this movie gods are not that superior beings but they have a lot of good and bad attributes of humans. This made it very interesting for me. Also the humor and self-irony of the movie is great. I think you will have fun watching it if you haven't yet. The only thing I would like to criticize is that in my opinion the structure of the story is somehow unbalanced. It gave the impression to me that the movie would have to be much longer to tell the story completely and balanced. But in fact it already hast nearly 2 hours. So there seems to be too much to tell for one movie :) Of course this can also be interpreted as a good sign.
Cast/Acting
An awesome movie needs an awesome cast and this one definitely got one. With Chris Hemsworth leading the way there are also great actresses and actors like gorgeous Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins and Stellan Skarsgard ... just to name the main part of the cast. There's nothing more to say about this category. Perfect rating!

Overall
All in all I had been compensated for 'Red Riding Hood' by watching Thor. It is an awesome action movie and I had been entertained well. Before you watch the n-th unnecessary episode of Pirates of the Caribbean check out Thor and know that you will have a nice evening at the cinema of your choice or on your cosy couch.
